The Fox Lane and District Residents’ Association (FLDRA) was formed in 1978 and is the sole voluntary body representing the interests of residents living within the area bounded by Bourne Hill, The Bourne, High Street, Cannon Hill, Aldermans Hill and Green Lanes. A total of around 3500 households, of which over 530 households are currently members.

The Association is affiliated to the Federation of Enfield Residents’ and Allied Associations (FERAA) and we also support the efforts of the Neighbourhood Watch, an organisation with which we maintain close links, and other local groups.

The aims of the Association are to safeguard the environment in which we live, to keep an eye on, and oppose where necessary, proposed changes and building schemes that may affect the quality of life of residents, and generally to try and avert nuisances whether caused by people, noise or traffic. We aim to encourage a spirit of neighbourliness.

We liaise regularly with Enfield Council, local Ward Councillors and the Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams plus with others as the need arises.

We hold bi-monthly General meetings in Burford Hall, Fox Lane at which topics of local interest are discussed, particularly those where there is current interest and information available, and we invite along guest speakers for their input and expertise and for the opportunity to question them as appropriate. These may be our MP, Enfield Council Officers, the Police, local Councillors or any others where we feel their input is necessary at the time. Often we will have a guest speaker talking on matters of local or national interest.

We maintain a list of Tradespersons, recommended by our members, and available to all.

We issue regular Notices to all members prior to each General Meeting. Members with e-mail access also receive latest weekly planning details affecting the area and urgent updates and information as necessary.

In June of each year we hold a Summer Party and in December we have a popular and well-attended Christmas Party.

Our membership fee is only £5.00 per year, due in January, for each household.

If you would like to join, and you would be most welcome, please see the details on the ‘Membership’ page.

If you have any comments or concerns about issues you would like us to follow up, or comments about the website, or indeed items you would like to contribute, please contact me or call me on 020 8882 3434.

Many thanks for your interest,

Chairman
